Order of Execution

While on a study break, I contemplated whether to refill my water bottle or go to the washroom first. If I refilled the water bottle first, that would allow more time for my bladder to fill up, and therefore a longer time before I would need another washroom break, and more time to study.

However, that would also mean that I would have to leave an unattended bottle of water on the counter for a minute, and there is a small but positive chance that some lunatic could poison the water. Then I realized that poisoned water is a legitimate reason for having an exam deferred, which would give me even more time for studying.

So for maximum possible study time, I refilled the water bottle first. I suppose that there is also a small chance that poisoned water could kill me, but it's exam time and I'm living on the edge.

Self Control

Last night I was wandering around downstairs and noticed some unattended containers of coffee in the room across from the cafeteria. Four containers, each partway full -at least 3 litres of coffee in total.

For a person who drinks upwards of 12 cups of coffee a day, this is like finding a wad of cash. Unfortunately, it was nearly midnight when I found it and I had to be up early the next day. I drank it anyway.

Final Exam Time

My first thought when I woke up this morning:

People get shot all the time. Why haven't I been shot yet? I wonder if I'll get shot today.
